About Alexander Taurozzi 

Alexander Taurozzi is a Toronto-based screenwriter, journalist, and producer. Alexander has produced and story-edited projects including Ex-Factor (Toronto Short Film Festival, 2026) and Scarberia (YES-Funded Grant). His journalism has appeared in Maisonneuve, Montreal Review of Books, and Rainbow Rodeo. Alexander received a post-grad diploma in Screenwriting and Narrative Design from George Brown College, was selected for the Futures Forward Producer Incubator with Web Series Canada, and was a finalist in the Toronto Film Plug Pitch Competition.

A versatile storyteller and adept researcher, Alexander is a writer who dives into unfamiliar worlds and builds thoughtful narratives from the inside out. He is the co-founder of the production company Coze Films. Currently, Alexander is developing a web series exploring the Queer Italian-Canadian experience, a coming-of-age pilot in the world of Toronto indie games, and a comedy pilot based on a specialized detective squad focused on animal crime.
